dVH/RALH Took a fall down steps.. 19 days post op

Things are crazy here in south Louisiana as we prepare for a visit from hurricane Issac. While trying to help pick up the grand kids toys (light duty only) I took a fall down our front steps. I am bruised, and sore as heck, but I seem to be ok. DH made me call dr anyway, she told me to come in if I felt I needed to. I don't, but DH is panicking. He called Dd and both DS... Guess I'm out numbered! So maybe I'll greet Issac from the hospital! Hope you all continue on a happy road to recovery. Not sure how long I'll have the Internet!!!

With the hurricane coming I'd make a trip into the doc to get checked out even if you don't feel you need to. If your family ends up being evacuated and a problem from the fall down the steps surfaces later you won't be able to get to your doc.Better safe than sorry! If it wasn't for the hurricane I wouldn't advise you to go now, I'd say wait a few days and see if any symptoms pop up.I hope you and your family make it through the storms ok!

So sorry you had a fall! That's the last thing you need post op - that, and a hurricane! I agree with Cath, get checked out before hurricane hits if possible.
