urethra

Hello. I have found something a bit weird since my TAH. I hope it's not too rude to talk about, but my urine stream used to be straight, and since the op, when I wee, it sort of goes off to the side and dribbles all over. Did anyone else find this happening to them? I'm hoping it's just due to swelling of the urethra.

Re: urethra

Funny you should bring this up for I too found my stream wasn't what it used to be. I had the burch procedure done so I chalked it up to that. Now that I am futher along I seem to be urinating a little straighter so I think it was do to swelling.

Re: urethra

phewww. Thank you for that. I was beginning to think I was a mutant. It does seem to be improving for me some of the time, so def must be swelling. It's also not so stoppy-starty all the time now. Day 12 for me.

Re: urethra

I can't say I'm "urinating straight" anymore, but since I sit down, it's really not a problem! ;-> My main concern was possible incontinence, which has turned out to be a non-issue.

Re: urethra

I noticed that too! It kinda dribbled out every direction. Eventually it did return to normal. But I was worried for awhile....lol

Re: urethra

I have the same thing going on and also had a Burch. It's gotten a little better but all over the place and I have to concentrate to make sure I fully voided.
