TAH Follow up appointment?

Hi all. I am approaching week 3 of a TAH BAO, and I was wondering, do you have to go back and see the consultant for a check up and discharge? (uk NHS patient?) only I not recirved anything. Many thanks in advance xxxx

You should have been given information upon leaving the ward, although this does somewhat loosely depend on your particular NHS Trust.

If you've not already done so in the last couple of days, please contact your Consultant's secretary or appointments clerk or, failing that, ask your GP's Practice since they will have received a discharge summary following your in-patient stay.

Many thanks for your reply! I have been to see me GP today and they have no records since they had the letter that I had received my op and that the results would follow. I'm on week 3 today, and there is no hystology or anything arrived.

Also nothing was mentioned upon discharge, and the GP knows nothing of a return visit. I will call the consultants secretary in the morning and see what's happening. I have felt amazing up until the last 2 days. Now I'm having bladder problems that are scaring the life out of me! But I'll get sorted soon, hopefully.
