Anyone denied pain meds after one week?

I am 17 days post op and I get buy with ibuprofen during the day, but at night I need a better pain medication. I get sore. I think doctors are very wrong in how they delivery pain meds. I can understand needing to cut someone off from it, but they are doing it to early and if they are concerned about adition, why can't they test the patient to see if there are any other adictions going on.

Also, they are treating patience with cookie cutter perscription dosages. I am about 100 lbs overweight and my body requires more than the norm to have pain med hit me.

It is wrong, it is frustrating.

Call back that office and leave a message for the Doctor to call you back, and get the meds you need, it took 2 weeks for mine to subside to the level that I didn't need it. You shouldn't have to suffer, everyone has different body chemistry and pain levels and if it hurts have them give you something for it, period! God bless and good luck!
