Back pain, three days post op

I am assuming that my newly acquired back pain is a result of my muscles over compensating for the lack of muscles in my abdomen right now. You know, them having to work harder to get out of bed etc. Did anyone else experience this.

Oh ya!
Also, they put you in some weird positions to actually do the surgery.
You could try a heating pad?

3 1/2 weeks out and STILL have some..especially when I sit too long..what helps me besides a heating pad is having a small pillow that fits in the small of my back to lean against.

That is what I am doing now, sitting with a small pillow in my back. I am using my maternity pillow which has been a god send.

i had my hyster 3 years ago and suffered like crazy with the old back pain.... it will go away, keep yourself as comfy as possible. let yourself be looked after.... mind you. after 3 years, i still get a raging back pain and still suffer so badly with trapped wind (ouch!!!) which i never had before the hyster... take care of yourself hunny...

Yes- the back pain was almost as bad as the rest of it!!!My doctor exlained that I was "upside down"during the 2 hour surgery and no wonder my back hurt!~At four weeks now, my back is definetly better-the heating pad was a great relief.....
