Cystocoele

HI everyone, yesterday i visited my doctor again who after some discussion about my bladder problems informed me i may need to have cystocoele to fix things. This freaked me out because i am only coming to terms with having the hysterectomy let alone anything else. I am so upset and just need to hear of anyone else who has had this done. Positive side is i can have this done at the same time as the hysterectomy.
Kind regards,
Marie

Cystocoele

Hi Marie,

I will also be having both things done at once. It seems my internal organs (my uterus & bladder) are in a race to leave my body. I don't yet know when I will be having surgery since I'm still in the process of testing for the urologist. I guess I"ll have my gyno doing the hysterectomy & the urologist doing the bladder repair. It all sounds like loads of fun - but I'm very hopeful that I will feel much better when it's all done. And, hopefully, you will too )

Cystocoele

I had a TVH with cystocele and rectocele on 08/08/08. I was really scared but was surprised that everything went so well. I went in at 6:30 am and was in my room at midday did not have too much pain. The next day had the catheter removed which meant I could get up and walk also go to the bathroom had a bit of discomfort that day as I couldn't get comfortable. I started walking around the corridoors and felt much better by the evening. Came haome at lunchtime on Sunday and felt much better there. Was very tired and had gas pains but other than that felt OK. I am now 2 weeks post op and feel very good, went for my 2 week check yesterday and Doc ok'ed me for driving, which I did right away but think I overdid it as I had pain again last night. So my best advice is don't overdo it just listen to your body. Good luck with your surgery.
