Surgery scheduled (endo patient)

I am having a complete (via lap) hysterectomy December 5. This is voluntary as my mom had both breast and ovarian cancer and i have had laps 7 times for endometriosis.

I have one son, who is 2. I am divorced and do not plan to have more kids.

I'm new to this group here as well, you'll find it really helpful, just keep reading as many posts and topics as you can, they are a godsend! I had two laps for my endometriosis as well with not much success for the pain. I'm going in (by choice) for a complete hysterectomy ( via lap as well) and removal of the cervix as well. I was not lucky enough to have kids first though cause I was also diagnosed with premature ovarian failure. I too am going through a divorce but my new bf is very understanding and takes good care of me. Keep your chin up, the future is going to be much better! Oh and good luck on your surgery, I won't be too far behind you (december 12th, 08).
