7 days post op - vaginal bleeding

Had a TAH last Thursday with pretty much no discharge apart from the first day.

Now I am bleeding slightlly - a dirty watery discharge.

Is this to be expected or could it be a stitch has torn. Not in pain at all.

Hi i am 3 weeks post op and same as you i only had bleeding on the first day after op then it stopped completely until a weeks ago when i started to get a pinkish watery discharge. I posted question on here and from the replys i got i think its pretty normal, apparantly it can happen when the stitches inside start to dissolve, so im not going to worry at the min but if it gets any worse or turns red i will go and see my doctor. just try to rest as much as you can. I hope this helps and i wish you a speedy recovery.

Hi emz87 - many thanks, you reassured me. I rang my doctor who said that if the bleeding lasts more than a week or shows sign of infections (odour) to go in and see them, they expect it to disappear today.

my doctor warned me this could happen, but so far it has not. from reading the board though, it is not uncommon.
