Pressure and right pelvic pain six weeks post daVinci hysterectomy: should I call my doctor?

Hi I'm new here and this is the first ? I had the was not answered by reading others ?'s.
I had my DTH on Feb 3. Every thing for the most part has been ok. This week I started back to work after the Dr. released me. I'm a CNA and work 12 hour shifts at the hospital in town. The Dr. had me not lift any thing over 10 pounds the whole 6 weeks I was out of work and for the most part I didn't. The most I did was pick up my 15 pound cat once in a while when he was getting into trouble. My first 12 back the first 4 hours I spent the night transporting people from the ER to the 3 floor. It was a crazy how packed it was. Our town is rural and can be slow most times. The last 8 I was sitting for the most part doing work on the computer. The next night only watching 1 person for work reasons and computer work. What concerns me is that last night I was off and toke my first bath. After the bath and I was laying in bed resting I started having pressure like pain. It has not stopped. I am also having pain on the right side pelvic pain that can be sharp at times. Not sure what to do? I'm not bleeding or anything just the pains. I'm off of work till Saturday night. Should I call the Dr. or just see how I feel later on Friday? Not sure. Help

Re: Pressure and right pelvic pain six weeks post daVinci hysterectomy: should I call my doctor?

I never say "don't call your Doctor" because if it's really bad or your concern is super high, then call them. They can tell you over the phone if they need/want to see you.

My surgery was Feb 7th and I still get these pains, dull aches, achy legs (thighs) - even pressure in my lady parts - I was convinced something was wrong but at my check up this past Tuesday she said it's all normal and I could feel these pains/aches for a long while (6 months was her magic number but she said it could be longer)... I honestly think that my leg pain is b/c I've spent the last 6 weeks over using other muscles to makeup for lack of strength in my stomach muscles.. does that make sense?

I think if you're concerned give them a buzz and talk to the nurse.

Hang in there!

Thanks so much. Called the Dr and she thinks I overdid it at work. Pain meds and heating pad recommended. Did that but today the pain is way more shape than yesterday. I keep having to pick up my 19 pound dog at the vets office. I know I'm whining. It just feels better to vent. Resting up for work this weekend. If Im feeling to bad I'll just call in. Thanks again.

Lifting the pup may be hendering your feeling better - I'm a wimp - I won't lift over 10 pounds and technically I don't think I've lifted over 5. LOL That's why I have coworkers and men in my house! LOL

Hang in there - rest as MUCH as you can - it's the cure all for this recovery I'm convinced.

Re: Pressure and right pelvic pain six weeks post daVinci hysterectomy: should I call my doctor?

I had a similar experiance, what I discovered was that I had lymph nodes removed and that because the larger ones are gone leaving only the smaller network of nodes I would at times feel more pressure and sometimes pain as my body learned to adjust. I'm nearly 6 months post op and I still from time to time have the pressure and pain especially if I've been on my feet all day long.
