post hysterectomy 11 days: excruciating pain in shoulders

excruciating pain in my shoulder plates,can barely walk,one week after surgery ran a 102.1 fever last Tuesday went to ER was diagnosed with Pneumonia,my fourth day on Antibiotics.Pain got so bad on Friday had another Xray and IV CT scan,showed no Pneumonia at all X-rays all clear nothing in lungs or diaphragm
but the pain in the shoulder plates are unbearable,even walking hurts,been on Motrin 800mg,Hydocodone and a valium for sleep otherwise i will go crazy with pain,what is it no Doctor can tell me

Some of your shoulder pain could be from the gas that's used to expand the abdomen for laparoscopic procedures. Basically what's left over migrates up into the diaphragm, where it presses on the nerves running to the sholulders; I remember my pain was excruciating! If ypu're having difficulty with full scale walks, try to move around as much as you can, which will help to dispel this gas; also try peppermint tea. Best wishes for your continued ued recovery!

Thank you,I have walked and tried the Tea,what worries me this came 9 days after surgery,I also spit up a lot of green stuff(sorry)I had a CT scan yesterday they don't see anything in my lungs or diaphragm and the new X-ray showed nothing,I consulted a private Doctor and he said that the air is not normal in the shoulders after the 9th day,so far i had not had any more fevers,that eases me.Iam just taking 600-800mg of Motrin and when i go to sleep 1/2 a hydrocodine and a valium,just to sleep through the night.The tummy does not hurt or the incision,If i did not have that horrible pain in the shoulder plates other then getting tired,I can deal with it.I do get out and walk a bit and then rest a lot.I wish you well thank you for your sharing
