My hospital packing list, did not overpack!

I thought I share what I took with me as my post-op hospital stay was a success with my list.

Basket (got mine for $2.50 at Target dollar spot), it looks like one of those plastic dorm/bathroom organizer things with a handle, only it's smaller, perfectly fit in the rolling table thingy.

Toothbrush/paste/floss
Travel size lotion
Chapstick
Face wash cloths (from Target, called #7, i think? Nice product)
2 sets of glasses (distance/reading)
Kindle
knitting project
Papaya tablets (chewable, good for gas/digestion)
Ginger capsules (good for nausea/digestion)
Gas X
oversize undies
pads (do NOT like hospital pads)
Nightgown/robe set (do NOT like hospital gowns)
Phones (home/work) and chargers
Feather pillow
Pillow pet
Fave travel mug
Tea bags (peppermint for nausea and regular for "tea time")
Sugar cubes (something special about "lumps" of sugar in one's tea )
Left in the same clothes I arrived in.

With the exception of the pillow pet, everything fit in a large canvas tote. The one thing on my list I did NOT take was slippers. The hospital provided me with some nice, slip-resistant socks, so I was glad I didn't take up room in my bag.

The one thing I missed having was paper/pen. I wanted to take notes about my care (or the lack thereof), but had to use my Droid, which was much slower for me than writing by hand.

The nurses got a kick out of my tea, pillow pet, and feather pillow and deemed me truly a princess. I just happen to like my creature comforts.
