PAIN during "O"

OK fair warning TMI - but during the Big "O" where my left ovary was it hurts by the end of the O. This is very distracting during the process and very painfull (not into that kind of thing), but it really is sore. Now I'm not sure if its the missing ovary, a stitch, or that sling that is causing this sharp pain, but we need to find a cure soon. Its hard enough to "O", without thinking your going to be in pain because of it!

Thanks for any input!

PAIN during "O"

You are only 4 weeks postop. It takes longer than that for everything inside to be totally healed. I had an ovary removed 10 years ago and I remember having pains (not all the time) for several months. The sling itself takes at least 8 weeks to totally heal. You're probably fine and just need some more time for healing. Be patient, it will happen.

PAIN during "O"

Hi Roo,
I think Dianne must have misread your date. She is right that you do still have healing going on especially with the sling having been done too.
I think that since your pain is this bad you need to have it checked. I was still sore at 9 weeks but nothing sharp and distracting like you say. It sounds like something might not be right.
I'm sorry you're still hurting like this. Give your dr a call and see what he/she has to say. Let us know when you figure it out.

's, Rita

PAIN during "O"

Oh yeah, I read July. Sorry! Still, the place where the ovary was is going to hurt occasionally for several months. I know that it did for me anyway. Even up to a year I would get twinges where my ovary and tube were. It's probably nerves readjusting and healing.
