3 months post-op hysterectomy - pain and bleeding during intercourse

Is it normal to have pain and bleeding during intercourse 3 months pos-op hysterectomy surgery

i am almost 6 months post op and have not had any bleeding or actual pain during or after intercourse. I think you need to call your doctor right away.

this was actually 4 weeks after I got the ok. So I was wondering if
maybe because it was the first time after surgery. and that's why it was painful and bleeding. Should I wait to see if it happens again.

It is not "normal." There could be several causes, but you should talk to your doctor before you try it again. It may be that you have granulation tissue that needs to be removed. It may be that your vaginal tissues are very dry, especially since you don't have ovaries. Whatever is causing it, it is something you don't want to aggravate by causing yourself to bleed and have pain again. Contact your doctor and let us know how it goes.

Are you still bleeding ? If so I would call them as soon as you can. If not you could wait and see. As far as being painful it might help if you use something as a lubricant. It really helps. My husband and I did not even try until I was 8 weeks. I feel just about back to normal still get a little swelly belly every now and then
