Had my pre-admit today

My freaking out has usually been over a loss of control, or thinking I was forgetting something that wasn't really forgotten, or the like. Then my hubby said "you're freaking out about something going wrong so much that you won't be happy UNLESS it gets messed up" -- in other words, my typical MO. I've tried to be calmer remembering that.

I had my pre-admit today, where the hospital did my CBC and my pregnancy test (required, of course), and a blood test wristband was slapped on me, can't take it off. It's starting to really settle in now. Fortunately I'm running into hyster sisters at every turn! The gal doing my paperwork has BTDT, and reassured me that freaking out is part of the process, because you have to psych yourself up to a certain degree to get this done anyway, and disruptions to the process are expected, and frustrating!

My calendar is pretty much clear for the next 2 days, except for my stepdaughter's choir concert. So I'm going to try to clear my mind, get my stuff done, and make fudge for the neighbors. A friend brought me books and chocolate today (it's dark, so my stepdaughter will probably find it, LOL), and I came home from lunch to find that my hubby had vacuumed the whole house, cleaned the kitchen, and done laundry! Plus he made dinner! I've been expecting my final period, and it's slow in coming, if it even shows its face!

So hang in there everyone!

I had the same thing today. Can't take off the lovely reminder bracelet until the nurse takes it off after my surgery...
I'm still freaking out!
