We all sound alike!
Hi ladies,
Well the waiting club has just about had it, I can tell! Like the rest of you, my mind is on only one thing and just about anything sets me off. This morning it's my 20 yr old daughter sleeping away when she is supposed to be getting ready to go have lunch with my mother and me. This is sort of a "command performance" when it comes to my mom, so I know that's part of the problem. Plus, I haven't told my mom about the surgery yet so I'm planning to do that today. She and I are very different ... we march to different drummers ... so I've been putting this off.
Hang in there everyone. Somehow we'll make it!
Beth

Beth - I hope your lunch went well after all. Just hang in there. You'll make it. We have too.
I am not in full control at all at this point. I went to the beauty parlor today to have my last cut and color before the surgery. We were all just chatting. My hairdresser had a hysterectomy about a year or 2 ago. She was telling me how she was telling everyone good bye before surgery. I got all teary eyed and then lost my composure. Where did that come from? In front of total strangers! Oh well. I blamed it all on my last PMS. What am I going to blame it on when I no longer get PMS? i am a crazy lady!
Have a good Saturday! Only 2 1/2 more days for me.

Hearing you talk about bleeding made me think, I had a cone on the 2nd of November and I am STILL bleeding from that. Would they really postpone the surgery untill the bleeding stops? My gosh I hope not. I sure hope my bleeding stops, I swear our bodies must know that we are about to get rid of the "Bloody Monster", and throw one more huge party!!lol

My turn too!
I girls, my TVH w/bladder suspension, rectocele repair, and sling is Nov. 27, 7:30am. If I weren't so full on Thanksgiving leftovers I'd be able to feel the butterflies. I'm finishing my Christmas shopping Monday after my docs appt. You all sound like me trying to get everything cleaned and prepared before the day, we're lucky we can prepare for it! I couldn't imagine having kids to worry about, quite a stresser for the DH. I was going to prepare and freeze meals but my DH said he'll take care of it, ok by me! I'm more worried about my pets (2 dogs, 1 cat) being lonely since I'm usually home. I'm also worried about the dogs jumping on me after surgery or tripping over them which happens a lot. I'm hoping to have an epidural and not feel so gross afterwards groggy wise. I bought a beautiful robe, pretty slippers, and have the bare essentials. Can you blow dry your hair in the hospital? Must keep up the appearance ya know! I was informed about the beautiful undies and some kind of stockings. I'm feeling confident and ready for it to be in the past. I'm sorry for those of you who are bleeding and in pain. I've had bad cramps for 5 days and hope I don't get my period. It doesn't help being hormonal and dealing with Thanksgiving and all this. Getting long..time to do laundry. I'll keep in touch with my "experience to the castle". You all take care, Ellen

Headin to the Castle soon
Ladies-
Ahh, I'm so nervous, only 36 hours to go! I wrapped my christmas presents, bought my DD a birthday present (her 2nd birthday is on Dec 9) and have cleaned the house from top to bottom and back to top! LOL. I've been quite snippy with my family lately, I'm hoping that its just my nerves. I will really be glad just to quit worrying about it and get it over with. I think what they say about the waiting is the hardest part has got to be true.
Tomorrow I'm planning on packing for myself and my two little ones. They are actually very excited for me to go to the hospital, they will get to see their grandparents, aunt and cousins, so I'm hoping they will enjoy their time away from me and won't get too homesick. I'm going to finish my laundry tomorrow and clean my carpets, it will probably be the last time I can do that for a while. I'm thanking God that I do have the energy to accomplish all that I have, I just feel so much better now that I'm almost done with everything on my "list".
I was reading in the pull down menu's everything that they say you should take to the castle. I don't know about all of you, but it seems a bit excessive to me. I'm hoping to only be in overnight, so I'm just taking some bare essentials. PJ's, robe, slippers, clothes to wear home and some basic toiletries, most important to me are earplugs and lip balm! I 'm terrified that I will be stuck in a room with a moaning person who is puking, I just can't deal with that!
Well, everyone take care! I'm sure I'll post one last time tomorrow because I know I won't be sleeping tomorrow night!
