More fever & pain

Hi lovely ladies

I have in the past discussed my issue with fever & pain.
I will be 11 weeks post-op on 12th December.

I have still got pain ranging from a heavy aching feeling & sitting for long periods is not pleasant. Plus, I have the feeling of burning & sometimes a sharp stabbing feeling.

On top of this I have had fevers that come & go during my recovery. The temps range from 99.5F to 101F(37.5C to 38.4C).

I have been on my 6th lot of antibiotics since the surgery.
My pathology was fine. So now for a CT scan.
Praying that they find something.

Also, intimacy with hubby can be quite uncomfortable at times.

Just hoping for some results.

Love this site...the support is great.

Re: More fever & pain

Update: the fever is caused by a reaction to the stitches. They don't dissolve for 6 mths. So just have to cope for another 3 & a bit months. Then if fever & pain persists go back to see gynaecologist.

Re: More fever & pain

Wow, I am so sorry you have to go through this. Be sure to note what kind of sutures the doctor used so that if you have to go through another surgery, this type of suture is never used on you in the future.

Re: More fever & pain

Thanks Dannii

I appreciate your support.

It will be 4 months post-op in a couple of weeks & still no sign of sutures dissolving. Plus still get low grade fever plus a yellow vaginal discharge.

My gynaecologist is now on holidays until February.
I will keep being monitored by my GP & if no sign of change after 6 months, my gynaecologist will be contacted.

I have a past problem with dissolving sutures...so I should of expected this!

Take care
Caz
