4 week post op appointment

Thanks again everyone, you ladies are a blessing.

Back from my 4 week appointment. Small infection in one area of incicsion site, treat with peroide and neosporin, he took my 2 bladder stitches out. They was causing me terrible pain, pulling and hurting like crazy. They was suppose to disolve on there own but he says sometimes they dont. I have to be extremly careful NOT to overdo it. He says because he took the 2 stitches out, I now have to depend totally on my body to do all the healing. No back up stitches except inside. He did a MMK on my bladder so he says I have plenty of stitches inside. Got my path report and surgical report, its a mile long with 7 things they found wrong including the pre cancerous stuff. I am just so thankful I went through with it.
Getting a different SUV today BUT can't drive it till my 8th week. It is a stick shift. was looking forward to it too because it is a 4*4. He will not let me make a 1 1/2 drive to the coast even if I am riding, he feels it would be to much on me. My son has to go there for child support issues, getting it dropped etc, and wanted me to be there, but dr says NO.
Anywho, I think thats it on my update. Think it is nap time now lol...

I'm glad you got those stitches out that were hurting you. It's not such a bad thing that your doctor won't let you take long rides in the car just yet. At 4 weeks I was stir crazy and my DH thought it would be nice to take me out for a drive. I was so uncomfortable! It was another few weeks before I tried anything longer than a short local trip again!

Definitely follow your doc's orders and you should be absolutely fine. Keep up the napping too!
