6 days post hysterectomy: Normal to have some.pain with BM

Is it normal right after surgery to have some.pain.when have a BM after..like.in stomach area? I been constipated but finally just went but was little painful and is still after..

OMG, I know the feeling it will pass though.I had a TAH on 2/18 and today is the first day I had no pain.

You mean first day without pain.period.or when went to bathroom? I am.having.pretty bad pains.tonight and 7 days post op..I did go to br 2 times.today tho..and have been on a steriod for a rash I got from.something..I am.going to stop the steriod now..think may be.making.me hurt worse..

I got an organic tea from Walmart you can find it at target or Walgreens. I took it to help me use the restroom prior the surgery so what I'm doing now is I take the tea in the am the tea is call smooth moves and it help me to use the bathroom daily sometimes twice a day.The first two days I was dying of the pain because I couldn't use the bathroom but now the I'm taking the tea in the am it's like heaven lol no pain and no constipation at all and it also helps me with the gas.

Make sure you're taking daily walks, which will help with your bowel movements more than anything else. As for tea, my choice is peppermint. Another thing you can do is sit on the toilet with your knees drawn into your chest, and your feet elevated on a low stool; this straightens the rectum, so the poop can pass through without straining or pain.
