Finally, pain free- before surgery

My TAH is scheduled for April 5, I have fibroids, enlarged and tilted uterus, hemorrhagic cysts, endo, and my right ovary is adhered to my uterus.
I have been bleeding off an on for a month, I have constant cramping and pain on my right side, until this week. I am still bleeding, but my cramping is very bearable, and I have not had any pain for the last few days.
I feel the best I have felt in a long time. I have been dealing with these problems for several years, and have finally decided on a hyst but now I am not sure because I really do feel ok.
This is making me question the need for surgery and each day I continue to feel better, I have to remind myself of the pain I was just in a week ago.
I am 32, with no children, so the decision to have the hyst was really hard, and now that I feel better, I don't know if I made the right decision.
Could this all be in my head? Has anyone else felt better before surgery?

Thanks for your feedback- it is really appreciated.

Finally, pain free- before surgery

Hi! If you're having serious second thoughts, there's nothing saying you can't wait to get another opinion before having surgery. It's better to be sure than to second-guess yourself or have regrets afterwards!

P.S. Your surgery date in your profile says 3-15-05.... you might want to update it if your date is different.

Hi, I think that getting a second or even third opinion is a good idea - especially if you're having doubts. Check out ALL your options and then make the decision that is best for you.

second opinions

I find that I have variable pain, but oddly my periods seem to have quit now that I've got the surgery scheduled. It's as if my uterus has just said, "you can't fire me, I quit". The mind is a powerful thing. Noom
