Surgery scheduled for 8/16/13 little scare

New to the site. Find it to be very informative. Everyone is very friendly.

Hi! I am 10 days out from da Vinci tah and feel great. I am sure you will do fine too. I think all of the wonderful advice that I found and followed on this site helped. Get a pretty basket and fill it with GasX, Aleve,stool softener, peppermint tea, hard candy ( dry mouth), water bottle, thermometer, and tv remote. Have on hand, prune juice and Phillips milk of magnesia. Be sure to start stool softener as soon as you get home. Take it slow and don't push yourself. I have found a daily nap helpful. I wish you an uneventful surgery and a quick recovery!

We really understand what you are going through. Expressing fears, emotions, freakouts, etc. really does help. Also, feel free to ask questions, we will try to answer then for you.
