TAH Bleeding during sex 8 weeks post hysterectomy

Hi...I had a TAH removal of ovaries and cervix...
I was cleared by my Dr to resume sex with my husband at 6 weeks post op ( New years eve) and all went well..and has been great up until last night.
We did "doggy style" and hubby went in deep..it hurt, but it used to prior to surgery so I just thought it normal..and when we took a break I noticed hubby had blood on him..from me. I freaked out and went in the bathroom to wipe myself and there was red fresh blood.
This morning there is still blood when I wipe myself after going to the toilet. Its not leaking out like a period would.
I'm scared I have torn something. I feel a small amount off pain..more like a bit of stabbing pain inside of me somewhere but its not really bad.
Is it normal to bleed after deep penetration or have I done damage?

I suggest that you refrain from having intercourse for now, and call your doctor and schedule an appointment. It may by something a simple to fix as granulation tissue, but whatever it is, you should have it check out. Are you using vaginal estrogen? If not it could be vaginal dryness or the beginnings of atrophy that is the problem. There is no reason to panic, but do call the doc.

I am due to see my Gyn on Thursday this week for the first time since my op due to the Xmas break, my GP cleared me for intimacy and to go back to work right on my 6th week. I admit I was a little hesitant and my surgery took 7 hrs and so wasn't sure I had healed properly..but all had been going well until this.
Should I wait until Thursday or see someone before?
Hubby said I was a bit dry at first.
I use HRT patches. Is that what you mean?
I won't be having intercoarse now until I see her, but not sure if I should see my GP today.
I would cry so much if I have to have more surgery! I was so very sick after my hyst for days as I don't cope with anesthetics.

I can't tell you whether to see your GP today or not. You'll have to make that call. Are you still bleeding. If so, then maybe you should. Or if you are in a lot of pain you should. As for vaginal estrogen, it is different from systemic estrogen. Often those of us without ovaries need extra estrogen besides the systemic estrogen. I use vagifem along with my compounded Estrogen gel. Some women use estrace cream also. Without it, I feel dry, and like I have a UTI. When vaginal atrophy sets in, the skin of the vagina becomes thin and easy to tear. You might want to ask the doctor about whether you need it along with the patches.

It is likely you won't need another surgery, just a treatment or some more rest. But if anything gets worse, definitely go to the doctor.

When hubby and I had sex for the first time 6 weeks post op I also bleed. I was sore, pains like you described for 24 hours afterwards. The spotting lasted 24 hours. A week later we tried again and I spotted for a couple hours but that was it. Every since things have been ok, no bleeding. Definitely give your doctor a call and see what they thing. Thank you both for your replies. The bleeding has slowed to almost none..just slight discolouration but I'm still having small sharp pain.
I didn't see the GP today as I will hold off until Thursday to see my Gyn and tell her what's happened as she is much more qualified than just my GP.
