Should I use a heating pad after hysterectomy?

I've been using ice packs for 2 weeks on my surg site. They help a lot ,my area is becoming tight, would it be a good idea to use warmth now? IE heating pad? i
I've always felt and been told heat increases inflammation so I'm hesitant.

Yes I've is better to treat inflammation... Heating pads really help when you feel crampy... I see no reasons why you shouldn't use it!

I am just over 3 weeks post op from my lavh. The heating pad is my best buddy. ☺ I alternate heat with cold packs. It helps with swelling and circulation.

Basically whichever helps you feel better. Mine were heating pad on stomach and ice on back.

I used the hearing pad since day 5. It helped getting the gas moving and to keep,the muscles relaxed.

I used one for cramping in my lower back. It helped a lot.

They gave me a heating pad in the hospital and i used one at home... It helped a ton.
