Carol,
It is rescheduled for Monday morning. I am so sore after all of his pushing around yesterday. My right side really hurts and I have a burning pain in my right groin. Im just afraid they are not going to see anything or think that whatever it is, is no big deal. Oh well I will wait and see. Thanks for the thoughts.

Hi Lisa - Hmmm, he left both ovaries in - and he is watching one of them.

I wonder if they know how much we worry after we hear something like that. That's why when the girl scheduled me out for a few weeks for the US - I got home and went - wait a minute. No, I would rather not wait that long and called back.

Besides the discomfort - the worry. That can't be good for anyone!

I had not had an internal exam since Feb. 2007. So, mine must have developed over this past year.

Hope - did you move your US ??? Don't put it off too long.

Positive thoughts for all!

Well today was worse than yesteday...I have no idea what's going on, but this has to slack up or 3 weeks isn't going to cut it. I called the doctor today, but no one called back, which is VERY unusual for that practice. I didn't notice til the end of the day since I was busy at work so I'll call again tomorrow.

Hang in there! Saw another post where this woman was in enough pain that she said ' that's it, had her husband drive her to the ER and she had her bag packed.
They ended up admitting her. HER doctor had her scheduled for a "let's see in 8 weeks" follow up, too.
Honestly - I wonder how many of us sit at home and suffer like this, and we just never hear their stories.

HUGS to all!!!

Bladder/Bowel pain/pressure with cyst

Ok ladies...I just talked to the nurse at my gyn's office. My cyst was "impressive" at 7.5 cm and mostly cystic. Does that mean mostly solid? They also couldn't tell which ovary since my uterus is gone and this was found centrally in my pelvic area...which is definitely where the pain is. Feeling a little better today, but she's going to check with the doc and see if he wants me to come up earlier than 2/22 since I'm having increasing pain. Keep your fingers crossed.

The woman was admitted, had the hysterectomy the next morning and was discharged 5 days later. We know when something is wrong!

I think cystic actually means the fluid type. I'll check online and see if I can find anything!
Fingers crossed!

Found this definition
"a closed, usually spherical, membranous sac that develops in human or other animal tissue and contains fluid or semisolid material."

Does not help. Will keep looking!

Lisa good luck with your dr. My thoughts are with you.

I am still waiting to have my ultrasound on Monday. My dr. also kind of shrug it off as they could have just made a mistake and seen your cervix. I would certainly hope that they would be able to distinguish my cervix from a cyst. Besides they said is was a hypodensity on the right adnexa. I really love my dr. but he acted like he is doing the ultrasound just because the CT scan recommended one and acted like yeah it could be a cyst so what. I guess I will wait until Monday for the results.

My doctor is pretty good so I'm not complaining...I just think this thing is growing or something and needs to be treated a little more aggressively, you know?
