2 weeks and bleeding????

I am 2 weeks 2 days and last night I had a brownish discharge for the first time. I have had no discharge so far. Did I do too much? Or is this some thing normal? Maybe stiches disolving? I had a TAH/BSO so everything is gone. Where does the blood come from?? Isn't it all closed up at the top, is that what the cuff is? Thanks for any help!!

2 weeks and bleeding????

I am at 6 weeks, yesterday and had the same thing this week for the first time since my surgery. It started as just tinting on Sunday and Monday. Then Tues. night it was worse. I wasn't spotting on a pad but when I wiped it was like the end of a period. Then the next morning it was brown but the same amount. I called the doctor's office and talk to a nurse and she said this is common. She told me that if it started bleeding more so that I had to wear a pad, like having a period, to call back to she could get me right in. I have also heard that if it is bright red (fresh blood) it could mean a tear or something. So I am just trying to slow down more and not do too much in case it is from over doing it. So as long as it is brown and not bright red, you should be OK. Of course if you are worried or in doubt it never hurts to call the doctor and let them know. Hope this helps.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
