3rd day of hysterectomy recovery

It's over. I shed some tears & now the healing truly begins.

I am blessed to have a beautiful child who is happy & healthy. When I see her, all the pain melts away.

I'm recouperating with family, I've never watched so many movies, & each day seems to get better.

As of now, the only pains that I have are gas & never having the decision to create another life.

I'm thankful for what I have and even more thankful for what is to come.

Re: 3rd day of hysterectomy recovery

It all happens for a reason!! We may not know why now, but one day it will be clear. I have one child. I wanted one more. But it just wasn't in the cards for me. Even without the hysterectomy I couldn't have gotten pregnant anyways. Too much inflammation and stuff going on in there. I'm using birth control all along and I had no chance of conceiving !! Go figure!! It's hard to now, but look at your blessings and don't mourn and torture yourself emotionally over something that may have not even happened regardless of the surgery. Look at the perks! No periods! Paps!! Tampons and pads!! Cramps! Tiredness!! Think of it as a renewal. Your body is brought back to a state before conceiving only better!! No more planning vacations around your period or worrying about leaking through your white shorts!!! Think of it as freedom and you can spoil your one child and guide them to a great future!! You'll be ok!!!
