daVinci was a success!

Hi sisters! I just wanted to say to all those pre-op daVinci gals that mine was yesterday and a total success. I got home about an hour ago and am feeling great. Actually, I've been feeling great all day. I don't even feel like I had surgery. I had a motrin after my lunch at the hospital but nothing stronger. And I was given a massage at the hospital that is supposed to help move the residual gas out. I think it's working! I have a little gas but it moves out quickly.

If anyone is given this option of surgery, I say do it! And if you're in So.Cal and need a good doctor/surgeon, I will highly recommend mine. Just pm me for his name.

Wishing all of you as great a surgery as mine!

Re: daVinci was a success!

Hello. I'm so glad yours went well. I'm scheduled for my LSH on Wed. I was wondering how different the Davinci is compared to a LSH, or are they pretty much the same? I'm worrid about how much pain I'll be in afterwards.

Hey "Cats"-
Glad you're doing so well!! Still remember though to take it easy these first few days - you don't want to overdo!
Here's wishing you a speedy & uneventful recovery!

Re: daVinci was a success!

Thank you, sisters! So far, so good. I just have some abdominal pressure and a little gas pain. Nothing major. I am taking ibuprophen in the day and percocet at night, mostly to sleep well.

Walking is very helpful and I'm finding sprite is great for moving the gas out. I use a heating pad on low once in awhile, too. In the hospital they put very warm towels on my belly and it felt sooooo good. So the heating pad is a close second in giving the same comfort. I'm being careful not to get it too hot and keep a sheet between the pad and my belly. Don't want those tape strips to come off with the warmth.

My DH is doting on me. I am enjoying every minute of it.
