Aloha - 2 days Post Op All is Well

Aloha -

I'm a 48 yr old who opted for LSH for treatment of fibroids and bleeding. Had my surgery, outpatient, on Thursday 2/7 here on Maui. All went well. I have four small incisions on my abdomen and the doctor followed my directions not to cut my tattoos.

It's two days later now and I'm fine today, up and around, getting up and down with no issues and hardly any pain. The only issue I have is with the excessive gas and air that is still inside my body cavity and the fact that I have not had a BM in three days.

Pain has subsided unless I laugh, then it's just not a good situation. Husband is on strict orders not to make me laugh.

Hope this information helps anyone out there reading.

Mahalo.

Hi Lauraloha and welcome! Congratulations on a successful surgery and I'm glad that you are doing well. You never think that laughing, sneezing and coughing would be so hard Try pressing a pillow against your stomach when you have to do any of those. It helps some. Good for you that youue doctor was able to leave your tattoos in tact.
I didn't have my first BM until day 5. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water, eating plenty of fiber, walking and getting plenty of rest. Take it easy and remember that you only get one chance to heal right the first time.
Happy Healing!

Lots of ((HUGS)) to you
