an we talk about breasts for a minute? (caution maybe TMI)
Has anybody lost pleasure associated with their breasts? Before hyst...my breasts were really my sexual "center" in that attention there got everything else "in the mood."
For a few weeks after we got the okay to proceed with our sex life, things were okay (this was also when I was having breast tenderness, which doc said was associated with my one remaining ovary...over compensating for the loss of its partner)
Now that I feel better, no breast tenderness, no big mood swings, no crying out of the blue.....my breasts do not "want to play" anymore. In fact ingeneral my body is very slow to respond if it "responds" at all ( with natural lubrication and the "o")
I really don't feel other physical symptoms at all. During the day I am feeling well and having nice energy levels.....still have some swelly belly. I have returned to pre surgery workouts just fine. I don't think I want to mess up feeling this good by taking hormones to enhance what is really just a problem with sexual response. I love my hubby and could live this way but he is hurt, I think, because he notices my body's lack of response and feelings I am not enjoying our time together ( I do very much and tell him as well).
Also I can't budge a pound...even with 1200-1500- calories and daily 40 minute interval training.
Does this sound hormonal...going to doc for three month recheck in two more weeks.....but thought I would ask my sisters.
Thanks for listening.
Blessings,
Beth

I definitely lost the breast sensations too and it has been nearly 4 years and they have not come back. I wish I could give you more hope than that.

WOW-had to reply as I hv noticed the same things!!! Was a bit worried something happened to me, becuz as you mentioned, the breasts were a BIG part of foreplay for me. Now it almost sitngs after too much stimulation when before I coudln't get enuf. The same for response to it all, I have had the hardest time getting bk to the old me in bed, it seems like I am almost there and it's over!!!! Take so darn long to get there that DH can't hold out any longer. And I also relate to him feeling sort of dissed, like he worries he just doesn't turn me on-NOT!!!! But it is a worry for me so I am anxious to hear what your Dr says about it if you'll keep me posted. I dont really want to try hormones and the life either as I have felt great, EXCEPT in that department. Thanks and tk care-hope to hear from you soon!!! Kathy

an we talk about breasts for a minute? (caution maybe TMI)
Hi.
I had lack of breast sensation the first couple of months post op.
Now, at five months post op, things are back to normal.
I think a lot of us don't realize how major this surgery is and how much it affects other areas of our body. It takes a long time for things to heal and for sensations to return. A lot of it has to do with being impatient and wanting things back to normal quickly.
Talk to your doc at your next appointment about your concerns. For me, it has taken over four months to get sensations and "cravings" back to a close to normal range.
Give yourself some time. And I firmly believe that a lot of these issues we have are mentally triggered. If we could just relax and allow our bodies to heal slowly and safely, we would be all better for it. I know looking back now, that I really needed to stop worrying and obsessing so much about what was not feeling right. Time heals...it really does.
Best wishes and happy healing,
Sarah
