Re: Ct scan

Hi there.
I just had a CT scan on Thursday. If you've never had one, it's nothing to worry about. Worst part is the barium. Yuck!!!
Mine was ordered bc I had a small hematoma that was found at my 6 week check up by transvaginal ultrasound. Also I have severe right side pain occasionally so I believe they are checking out everything in there!
Let us know how you do!
Good luck.

I haven't had your symptoms but had a CT scan last week. I just had to drink two big glasses of a drink that looked like lemonade (didn't taste like it!) and then they did an IV iodine contrast. I have had the barium before as well. They key for both types of scans is to walk round as much as you can to get the barium through your system. And then LOTS of water and stool softener when you get home.
Good luck!

Re: Ct scan

I had a CT scan with contrast the other day because I had blood pooling. It was not bad at all. The CT scan is all open and it only takes a few minutes. You'll be fine. Hang in there.

Re: Ct scan

I have not yet had a CT scan, but am waiting for the hospital to call with an appt. date and time. I have had several issues going on and my doc thinks I may have a hematoma with some kind of infection. Hope your scan yeilds good news for you. Hang in there and keep us posted!
