Scared to death...

I just got back from my pre op appointment. Hyst on friday March 15th. Dr. said taking uterus, one ovary and tubes, planning on taking cervix too if able to get to. Several adhesions and uterus folded over. Just found out that my bladder and bowels are pulled up. She gave me info in case she gets into one of those and has to do repair. This all makes me even more nervous then I already was (if possible). I could use some calming down as for my stomach is in major knots now. This website has been so helpful. Everyone has been helpful and kind. Thanks ladies.

I'm praying for you

I will keep you in prayer! I was nervous before surgery too but knew I had the best doctor I could have and was confident that between him and God I was in good hands. Come and visit the post-op support message board after your surgery and we can continue to encourage you!

Scared to death too!

Sherri,

Hang in there. My surgery is set for the Monday after you. My stomach is in knots too. Found out yesterday that Surgery is Mon.
I have lost 2 lbs. (More will probably come!) It is really hard on me because I was only 102 to start with! I also am

I think we will be okay. On top of worrying about all of this, My Dad is not doing well either. He has cancer and things are not looking very hot. Gotta get my surgery done so I can get better soon in case I need to care for him too. My hands are staying sweaty and cold. ( I know that is my nerves!)

Take care. Remember, I am there with you! All is going with me. So, lucky you get to keep atleast one ovary!

We're sisters!

I, too am scheduled for Friday. I will be having a TVH with anterior and posterior repair and an abdominoplasty. I am very nervous, also, but I will keep you in my thoughts as we go through this together. Perhaps knowing that you are not alone will calm you somewhat?
I went to my pre-admission testing yesterday, and was informed that I am only approved to stay for 1 night (24 hours) after my surgeries! So, that has really thrown me into a tailspin.
Hugs to you. We are in theis together!

Hanging ON!

Sherri,

I am glad to hear your Dad is a cancer survivor. My Dad is terminal. They are not going to do anything further. He is getting weaker by the day...... I am now 6 days away from the Castle Date. I am really scared!

I sure all the other's in waiting is probably as scared as I and I guess this is quite normal. (Even though I feel as if I am the only one feeling this way!)

Thanks for the encouraging words!

((((((Cheryl))))))
