Trouble eating 2 weeks post op,bloated hurts to eat

Hello
I had a TLH 2 weeks ago with excision of Endo on my diaphragm, bladder, ovary and other parts of my pelvis and abd cavity. It's hard for me to eat. I feel like I get really bloated and it pushes on my incisions. Im also still puffy when I try to walk around in the grocery store for more than a few minutes. I don't have a scale to weigh myself but I know I'm losing weight, my hubby says I'm looking too thin. I want to eat but it hurts!

Try eating natural foods like melons, pears, grapes, and watermelon. All of these fruits will help hydrate you especially the watermelon. Drinking plenty of water with maybe a touch of cranberry juice in it may help also. Fresh limes in your water is a treat to because you deserve it. Hugs to you. Keep us updated ok.

Re: Trouble eating 2 weeks post op,bloated hurts to eat

I'm 2 weeks post op wed from abdominal removal over ovaries and tubes as well as lots of adhesions and scar tissue. Had a hysterectomy in 2009. I'm also having that feeling of pressure and full feeling. I've lost 10 pounds so far but I'm a bigger girl size 16 so I need to loose wt. however it is a pain because there r times when I want to eat And can't. I'm sure it's just all the swelling that's going on. I also feel weak in my legs. Which is probably from not having a good diet. I'm trying to drink lots of water but I have low blood sugar too so I have to b careful. Good luck. Sorry for the long post but ur not alone!!!

Re: Trouble eating 2 weeks post op,bloated hurts to eat

Hi,
I have had issues with food since the day after surgery
I used to eat healthy (vegetarian ) with some cheese, pizza, tex mex, eggs, etc., Well, since the surgery I can only have "rabbit food" and fruit smoothies.
I don't owe a scale so don't know how much I lost, but all my clothes, including skinny jeans are getting baggy.
I tried pizza, omelettes, cheese and it makes me so sick! Nausea and my stomach hurts, so bad I have to go and lie down...
I just bought some Kefir today (probiotics, and good bacteria drink) I should have bought some before... I really hope it works on restoring my stomach, I'm miserable and underweight...

I'm 11 weeks post op...

Good luck!

Good luck!
Try drinking Ensure Plus it should help since you can't stomach food and it also helps with putting a little weight back on also. Good luck hope you feel better real soon.
