What is healing time from lap?

I will have one soon for ab pain. Don't want hyst yet when I don't yet know what is wrong. Ob will remove scar tissue and maybe endo and hopefully guess what the problem has been.

Laproscopic surgery...........well I have had 7.............the time to recover is usually within a week..............about 5 days I am able to stand up right and continue with "normal" activities.............Perhaps more thought and/or ultrasound may be good in order to determine if a hysterectomy is really truly required...............

My DH needs to be prepared for the time I'll need him. Also if I have work done, such as scar tissue or endo removed, wont that make the healing time longer? I'm a little worried about that.

Also, is it appropriate to ask for dinners for this surgery. At least for my kids and DH? I don't want to cook right after.

It doesnt matter if you have scar tissue or endo....its all the same....doesnt make your procedure any different....healing time will be the same....if you are having a hysterectomy...long time to heal - due to the extent of surgery.....just a laproscopic for endo is different and simpler....about five days to start feeling better....as far as time for your hubby, depends of what you get done.....first few days are worst and everyone deals with pain in their own way....make sure you dont stand too long right away and get lots of bed rest....making a few meals in advance are a great idea!
