Infected cut

I am almost 3 weeks post op I think my cut might be getting infected I notice last night ftemy shower when I was drying off that there is a little part of it that has a little light green ozs in it . Not sure if thats right or not I try to call my dr and they arent in today so I have to call him tomorow and see of I can get in. Also Im not sleeping that well at night I had the TAH on April 10 was in the hospital for a while because of the pain mednice they had me on. So if I could get some help please let me know.

I would say if your incision has green oozing out of it, you need to get a hold of your doctor immediately. It is probably infected and that is something you don't want to wait around on....please try to get in ASAP!!

As far as not sleeping, that is very common after this surgery. Whether it is part of menopause or side effects to pain meds, many women go through for some time in their initial recovery. Make sure you discuss this with your doctor as well. Maybe there is something he/she could recommend so you can get the sleep you need in order to heal well.

I hope you are able to get in and get that incision looked at very soon!! Please let us know what you find out!!

Green oozing needs attention. Call your Dr and get seen please. Let us know what they say.
