Home at last
Had my op. Kept my ovaries and cervix. Have a nasty vertical scar that cuts through my belly button. Had some wonderful care at county hostpital. Home at last. Taking it easy for two weeks but am surprisingly active. I can't believe how flat my stomach is. Had two fibroids the size of of a week pregnancy. I am not running to the bathroom every five minutes. What a relief. I can socialize again!!!
Thank you, thank you for all your support and advice. Its'really made a difference.
Cheers.
P.S. Anyone else had a vertical scar where the surgeon had cut through the belly button? I'm now disfigured. I did have a belly button ring. I have no idea why they did that!
TAH. Kept ovaries and cervix. Vertical scar.

home.
It sounds like you're doing well despite that large incision. I imagine that it's that size because that's what it took to get to everything. Maybe you could ask your dr about it? I had a bikini cut that was about 6 or 7" but my uterous wasn't as large as yours.
Now, be a good princess and go slow and easy for awhile. Get lots of rest and don't forget to lots of water.

Glad you're home!
Take care of yourself and enjoy the pampering.
I haven't heard of the particular scar issue you had. My scars have all missed my navel. You might want to ask why they had to cut there. Sorry I can't be of more help.
