30days from today

I am convinced this process has turned me hypocritical! I cant stand the abdominal pain and pressure, cant stand the gushing clotting periods and feel i have certainly paid my dues........but, want time to stop so jan 17 doesnt come too soon. Why the mind games. My head is spinning. I want to feel better. Stop bloating, peeing constantly, aching. I want to be free im done being a prisoner. This is madness. I want the surgery, i know i need it but im scared to death i wont wake up. I exercise every day, dont drink alcohol, dont smoke, avoid caffeine and take vitamins. What else can i do to ensure a complication free surgery and speedy recovery. I feel like i need to be institutionalzed.

Re: 30days from today

Being scared of surgery is completely normal, especially THIS surgery. And turning yourself over to a group of people is very unnerving. The doctors and nurses will take very good care of you - they don't want anything to happen to you either. They are very well trained in their professions, and will guide you through this. They know you are nervous and will help you relax when you get to pre-op.

From your post, you sound as if you are taking good care of your health. That is always helpful in any situation. That should aid in you surgery and recovery. But, no one knows how the recovery will go until you are there. Regardless, you will get through this.

The women on this site are here to support you. Get on this site and post when you need to, and read through the posts as well as information on this site. Hopefully that will help.
