2 wk post op appt

I had my 2 wk post op yesterday. It is a good thing I had my surgery done when I did. I had adenomyosis, endometriosis and a undiagnosed rectocele. My Dr said the rectocele was pretty bad and said that is why I'm having some extra discomfort.

I asked my Dr about my emotional swings up & down. He said it was perfectly normal and they should even out, but if they don't, he will start treatment.

DH went with me and was glad I got the ok to drive, but dh is also adamant that I don't overdue it. I was dusting today with the swiffer duster and he didn't like it at all. Tonight he and the boys are cleaning the house. At least this week I'll be up to making sure they are doing it all, not just the bad spots.

I don't post much on here, but I do read the posts and it is encouraging to know that what I am feeling is perfectly normal.

Today was my 2 week post op. I was very nervous about the exam. I needlessly worried. The doctor was reassuring and gentle. Yes, he did a vaginal exam--but did not go to the nether regions--whew!

I had a TVH on Jan. 24 due to hemorraging from a large subserosal tumor, endrometrial hyperplasia and a prolapsed uterus. I didn't have much time to prepare and read up on hysterectomies. So I had lots of questions for my doctor. He was terrific. He has been my doctor for over 20 years. It pays to have a good relationship with your doctor!

I will not be able to go back to work until mid March. I really miss my students! He reminded me to "stay down" and wished my DH "good luck!" Also, he assured me that my BP will come down and my body temp will come up.

Good visit -- glad to get some answers.
