How much do they sew?

Just curious - once they take the troublesome stuff out - ligaments and other things attached to parts that were there - what does the doctor sew that to? Or, do they just sew the whole thing up a few inches above the opening?

How much do they sew?

I think that they usually sew the ligaments to the pelvic floor to help it stay stable, that way there's less danger of it "falling".

Hope this helps... and gives you a so others can elaborate... or correct me if I'm wrong!!!

How much do they sew?

I believe techniques vary, so I would check with the doctor. It also depends on how much is being taken out, I would think.

Quite honestly, this wasn't one of the things I was concerned about. I should probably re-read my surgery report and see if I can figure out what they did in there.
