No Pre-Op???

Hi!

Every hospital and DR has their own procedures. Most of my pre op at the hospital consisted of filling out and signing forms and admission stuff.

When they have you do your own bowel prep, etc. it is more to save them time that morning and also to cut down on expenses that the hospital incurs. It also saves time to have patients go in a few days early to take care of the paperwork.

You may get a letter in the mail that will tell you exactly what time to arrive at the hospital and where to go.

If you don't and you have questions call your DR.

Best wishes!

No Pre-Op???

All they did at my preop was take blood and fill out paperwork. I'm to do bowel prep the night before and arrive at the castle 2 hours before my surgery. I'm sure you're fine, different hospitals just do things differently. Good luck!

No Pre-Op???

No pre op would be fine with me. It would mean no extra trip all the way out to the Hospital. I have had other surgeries that had no pre op and they went fine. No worries.

No Pre-Op???

Hi,

That's fine but remember you may be a bit nervous before hand. You will need a clear head with the paper work. Write down the points you need to read and sign for prior to going. Like: which procedure you are having, exactly what body parts are to be removed, what type of anesthesia is to be used, private room, insurance authorization, etc.

So....for Halloween you're going to dress up as a patient!
My best to you,
