Snappish & Depressed

Sisters: I had my surgery on 7/2/08. Physically I have been feeling good. Tired by the end of the work days, but nothing "painful". Over the weekend, I had some MAJOR mood swings. I was fine one minute and the next I was biting my DH's head off for no reason at all. The next minute I was bawling.

I'm on estradiol (since the night of my surgery). I'm feeling really down emotionally. Work is stressful and I'm just a nervous wreck it seems.

I'm on anti-anxiety pills and also an antidepressant (since before surgery) - is this just "hormones" and will it pass - or should I call a doctor?

I'm worried....
thanks for your help.

Yes calling the doctor is a good idea.

Your body has some stored estrogen and it maybe that with the estradiol -- you have to much -- or maybe the reserves have depleted and now you do not have enough.

You are still in recovery mode -- and you have to take care of yourself.

If your work is stressful -- that adds to the tiredness and the crankiness.

Breath deep and call your doctor -- you may just need some slight adjusting to what you are taking.

Best wishes.

Im with them, call your Dr. It sounds as if your hormones are off. It took my mom a long time before they finally got hers level.
