Numbness in Legs

I have noticed that the tops of my legs are numb. Mostly my right one almost like they have given me a shot of Novocain in them. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be concerned? I'm having no problems walking or anything it's just when I run my fingers over my thighs its the same feeling you get after you've been to the dentist and you run your fingers over you mouth after a Novocain shot.

Numbness in Legs

Hi TisMe, i started having a similar thing about a week after in my right thigh.im nearly in my third week.Thankfully it stopped but i think its just the nerves readjusting and healing. You have not long had your op and your body is just healing. If it gets worse or starts to worry you just contact your doc.

Take care

Numbness in Legs

TisMe,

The same thing happened to me after my surgery in January. The upper part of my left thigh was numb for months. I'm close to 7 months post-op and some of the feeling has returned. There's still one area that is totally numb, but I expect, with time, the feeling will return.

Numbness in Legs

You are atill early in recovery. You have had alot of nerve endings cut during your op. and they need time to reconnect, that is why you have numbness in spots. It will take time for them to regenerate. Hang in there it will get better. But if it concerns you always call your Dr.
