Questions about resuming intimacy

Hi everybody, I have a few questions that maybe some of you women know the answer to. I had a total hysterectomy five weeks ago. They took everything out. I am 50 years old I had had a very enlarged uterus with fibroids, that pressed on my bladder for years. I had a vertical, exterior incision. Id like to know 1. When can I have relations again with my husband? 2. Will I always need a lubricant? 3. Does the inside of the vagina still feel the same, is it the same size? What happens to the sperm, does it just get absorbed in the body, because there is nothing left to catch them (uterus), do they just travel into the space ciruclating against different organs, does it hurt them? Your doctor will tell you when it's okay for you to resume intercourse. For most women, it's 6 weeks post-op, but your doctor will release you when it's time for you based on your own healing. Some women need a lubricant for a while, or always, while others do not. The size of the vagina should be the same as before, and the semen containing sperm just falls out of the vagina.
