Bleeding post-op 6 weeks

It has been six weeks today that I had my robotic assisted hysterectomy. My cervix, uterus, tubes and ovaries were removed. I was doing great the first couple of weeks.....and then started spotting and have not stopped. I had a three week check-up with my doctor and he said everything looked good....that I still had internal sutures that were causing the spotting. I will not see my doctor again until Feb. 13th which will put me at 8 and a half weeks post-op. I'm very frustrated with the spotting, and would like to know how many women have or are experiencing the same thing. The spotting ranges between a faint pink....to sometimes a yellowish brown....no odor.

I work at a radio station....where I sit a lot. No lifting. I returned to work for just a few hours a day two weeks after my surgery. Just wondering if I returned to work too soon.

It would just be nice to know if this is typical....or if I should call my doctor before my next appointment.

Bleeding post-op 6 weeks

I had the spotting from day 16 to almost six weeks from my dissolving stitches. Since that's what your doctor said it is and you do not have an odor, I wouldn't worry. It's just part of the recovery for a number of us. It may get more copious before it stops if you end up being like me in that regard.

Bleeding post-op 6 weeks

I started spotting at day 30 and have continued to do so on and off till the present which will be 6 weeks tomorrow. I put in two calls to my doctor who said it is probably stitches dissolving, plus tissue trying to heal. I go for my check up next week on 2/4 and he'll examine me then. I've heard that sometimes there is granulation tissue on the vaginal cuff that needs to be treated so I'm hoping that's not what I have but I'll find out next week. Mostly, the doctor just said as long as there in no fever, no odor and no profuse bleeding, it's pretty normal.
