Feeling anxious after starting new vivelle patch - updated

Hello,
I am not new to using HRT. I am 47 years old and had my TAH 17 years ago. I was successfully taking 1 mg estrodiol pill for most of the time. I tried bio identical compounds and found that they weren't always mixed the same every month so I switched back to the pill.

I turned 46 and I think my body decided to reject the estrogen pill. I started getting very dry everywhere, and was waking up with anxiety, heart palpitations, and just feeling down. I also take thyroid meds 125 mcg levothyroxine.

I asked my doctor to switch me to a patch, so she put me on estrodiol 0.05 by Sandoz, I guess this is the generic brand for Vivelle. I felt like I was in a fog on this patch. Very emotional, and depressed. I had a hormone panel run and found out I was low on everything.

After reading many forums on here I decided to try the vivelle patch. I asked my doctor if I could switch to the brand name instead and when she did she also raised my dosage from 0.050 to 0.075, because I was so low on estrogen.
I know I need to give it more time. My question is, is it normal to feel anxiety after starting this patch? I feel almost like i drank to much coffee, just a little jacked up.

Is it just a transition? I should know this after so many years but I haven't switched hormones this much until now. I just want to feel normal again. I find myself feeling envious of women that still have their natural hormones.

I figured out what was causing my reaction to the Vivelle patch. I just needed to give my body time to adjust. I am feeling so much better today. It's been a few months since I've felt more like myself. So glad I read about vivelle patch here on hystersisters.
