vaginal pressure?

Hi again ladies...another question. I'm a week post TVH. Doing okay I guess, still have abdominal discomfort, but mostly feeling weird in the vaginal area. When I do a kegal exercise it feels like there is something in my vagina. Is that normal? Could it be the stitches? The episiotomy area is also burning a little. Not to mention the sudden onset of hemmrhoids...wonderful. I haven't had alot of spotting, just occassionally, but I did today after a bowel movement, not alot, just a little.
I am so glad to have found this board to bounce all my worries off of!

vaginal pressure?

Did your Dr release you to do Kegals? Mine said not to do any of them until after my 6 week check up as you can cause strain on the Vaginal Cuff.If you were not released to do so, I would call your Dr to see if it is o.k. for you to be doing them!!!!
As for pressure, I have some and have been told it is things healing inside the Vagina.
Good luck

vaginal pressure?

i wasn't really doing kegal exercises...on purpose anyway...but i had that "something in the vagina" feeling on the occassions where my body did the kegal maneuver, ie. after urinating, etc.
My doc didn't say anything at all about kegals, so its good to know that your doc says not til after 6 weeks.

vaginal pressure?

I felt pressure for several weeks afterwards. But I did NOT do any Kegals. As this is considered an excersise and the doctor said NO excersising or heavy lifitng and nothing in vagina until post op checkup. Also postoperativley it is not good to sit for long periods of time because of pressure. So youhave to find a balance - sit with fett up on teh couch and BE A PRINCESS !!!!

It will get better over tiem - remember not to exert yourself. It is major surgery and your body has been pulled and tugged on !

Take care
