Adhesions anyone?

Was just informed by my doctor that I probably won't be having the vaginal hyst because my bowels may be stuck to my uterus...very scared about this but he said it was common to have adhesions after myomectomy.

Also said my recovery may be just a tad better than myo after my tah. Anyone out there know about adhesions and how they unstick your bowels from your uterus?

I had a adhesion where my fallopian tube was connected to my abdominal wall they basicly seperate the two very carefully so as not to damage the needed organ. like your uterus will be removed but you have to have your bowel so he will seperate the uterus from the bowel probablly leaving a tad of the adhesion so not to damage the bowel and cause leakage which can cause infection. make since?

My uterus was adhered to my bladder. It took an extra hour to separate the two -- so my surgery lasted almost 3 hours instead of 2. Not sure of the techniques used, but I do know it was a fairly delicate part of the operation. And they were NOT expecting this development.
