Re: had surgery the 8th

I had a LAVH. At 2 weeks, I hurt if I was up and around too much-like shopping. I think most of us have at least some problem with constipation afterwards. I took Miralax for about 3 months. Also, felt slight discomfort and felt as if it took more effort to empty my bladder.

Re: had surgery the 8th

I guess it depends on what type of job you do, if it's full/part time, commute time, etc.

I can't even imagine going back to work....tomorrow (2 weeks). I am approved for 10 weeks. However, I work full time, a physical job that requires me to lift 50 lbs.

My Dr told me that if I have ANY reservations about going back to work, he will happily extend my leave. Perhaps you should state your concerns to your Dr. and he will be able to do the same. As others have said on here many times, you can only heal once.

I had a vaginal hysterectomy and anterior and posterior repairs on the 10th. I have the achy pain on the left side as well and since yesterday a little bit if a sore back and a crampy feelng. I am really tired and couldn't imagine going to work on Monday! I think dr's jst look at the incision side if things....but it takes a lot longer than two weeks to recover from this. I have my post op on January 26 and will start work slowly after that.

Take it easy and if possible a little longer for your recovery. You still don't sound well....
