Experience w/ Testosterone

My sex drive has been slowing for years and was almost non-existent. The last month before LAVH I was on 2-3 BC pills per day trying to control the bleeding. I felt my libido stir for the first time in years.

I am on the estrogen patch and was cleared for sex at 4 weeks. There have been no problems at all and did experiment on my own at 2+ weeks just to see how things felt. There really doesn't seem to be an issue at all with that.

I did mention to the Doc at the post op about my libido. She prescribed testostorone from a compounding pharmacy. I am going to start it tonight. Does anyone else have any experience with it?

Well all i can say about Testosterone is that i am a pharmacy tech and i work in a compounding pharmacy and we do a ton of those scripts a day. It is suppose to help in that department and all the women that get there med fill there with us come back every month for there refill so i think that it is working or they wouldnt come back for more right? I personally am goin to start Biodentical Hormone Replacement therpy just waiting on the ok from my doctor....Good luck

Please let us all know how it works for you. I was put on BCPs for menopause symptoms about 2 yrs ago and although I hadn't notice my libido was missing, once on the pills, I noticed it come back. I actually don't feel the loss of libido these days but that might be because of the 6 week break . Still, I'd love to hear your experience.
