Punched in the gut today

Hi all,

After church today, the kiddos were running around playing. One particularly rambunctious 6 year old came charging for me, and punched me right in the gut. I dropped because it hurt and took me off guard. I'm still having some lingering pain even down through my vagina. It's not unbearable but hurts. Could this have done anything "in there?" It's been about 5 months since my surgery. My better half thinks I'm being overly dramatic and that I'm all healed. I'd appreciate any words of wisdom. Thanks all!

Re: Punched in the gut today

I would call your doctor tomorrow. It is better to be safe than sorry. I wouldn't think it would hurt you at this point, but everyone is different and if your in pain I would call. Hope you get the chance to rest.

Thank you! It still hurts, I don't think it's as bad. I appreciate your advice!

Re: Punched in the gut today

and

And owie! I agree, you're likely okay, but I also wanted to assure you that you aren't being overly dramatic. Though you've long been released by your doctor, healing really does continue for 4, 6 months or even a full year. I discovered this when I had swelling and dull crampy aches for 2 days after doing a short but intense abs workout at 5 months.

It's always okay to call your doctor for peace of mind, and especially if the pain doesn't subside.
