Has anyone experienced oily hair since their surgery. I can't keep my hair clean for more than a day at the very best. Just thought I would ask but it's probably just me.

Me too, I noticed it right after surgery. I wonder if it is hormonal.

mine is the opposite, really dry straw like hair, probably a bit to do with hormones and effect from anaesthetic.

My hair has been the opposite as well, very dry and brittle - when I brush it, a lot falls out. I just keep it in a pony tail and hope for the storm to pass.

Dry, dry, dry and falling out too! Actually it is probably breaking from being so dry rather then falling out and man I've conditioned like crazy! Repeat of last year. Hair stylist says it is from the anesthesia yet again! lol

I also need a color done but I am not going to the salon and trying to lay back in one of those chairs! Think I'll just do one of those root touch up kits again for now.

Mine is actually finally normal. It was always oily and now normal. I also had an oily forehead and it's not oily either. I am actually worried that I am not having any post op surgical menopause symptoms...and I am not on an hrt. I had more meno symptoms pre surgery and now I feel normal and also not emotional as I should be......

Am I abnormal here? Will the crap hit the fan all at once and I will wake one morning in total hormone He#& . Seriously, I am worried that most of you are experiencing these things and for me I am better than before surgery. My skin is even nicer..I have rosacea and it's gone since surgery. What's with that???

Can anyone shed some light? Anyone else better as this too????

Hugs, love and prayers!

My hair has always been very oily. Right after surgery it was the absolute worst. My hairdresser said it was from laying on it all the time. I did notice it got a bit better when I was up more and more. Now it is back to it's old oily self. One day is good the next day is an oil slick! My face is still oily, but the rest of my body is so dry and itchy.
