strange feeling

Hi all,
I am new here so I don't even know the right abrev. but I had a vaginal hyst. on 7/16/07 with cervix removed. I still have my ovaries and tubes. Here is my question I started having this weird feeling tonight like there is something in my vagina ugh ... Is this normal??? or should I call my doc. .. It hurts a lil when I pee but other than that I am feeling as well as can be expected. Thanks for any answers anyone may have.

Hi wsprouse123

My hyst was a total with removal of ovaries, tubes and cervix. I do remember that a week or so after surgery I too had a feeling of something in my vagina. Kind of a cross between an ill fitting tampon and odd pressure. It did go away after several weeks but was uncomfortable until then. If your cervix was removed then you have a vaginal cuff and that is probably what is feeling odd, as things start to heal and your stitches begin to dissolve.

One thing I did learn through all of this... when something makes you feel concerned that things are not quite right, the best thing to do is to call your doctor's office. Peace of mind makes a world of difference in our recovery.

call the doctor's office. You need to know and so do they - that's what they're there for! They'll be glad to answer your concerns and if there really is something wrong it's better to catch it now. Good luck

Glad to hear you are feeling better today. It can be hard to not overdo things but it is really important to give your body time to heal. I told my DH I was going to have the words 'pace yourself' tattooed on my forhead so every morning when I combed my hair I would be reminded to pace my days activities and not over do things.
